This actuator has a double role as\u003cbr\u003efollows:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"center\"\u003eFirst it improves injection system output since the HP pump only \ncompresses the amount of fuel needed to maintain the rail pressure \nrequired by the system.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"center\"\u003eSecondly it reduces the temperature in the fuel tank. In fact when \nexcess fuel is sent to the return circuit, the expansion of the fluid\u003cbr\u003e(from rail pressure to atmospheric pressure) involves a large amount of heat. This generates an increase in temperature of the\u003cbr\u003efuel sent back to the tank. To avoid generating too high a temperature, it is necessary to do the following:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"center\"\u003e- Cool the diesel in the exchanger (a costly, cumbersome and not very efficient solution).\u003cbr\u003e-\n Limit the amount of heat generated by fuel expansion by reducing the \nrate of discharge.
